A Season of Growth in 2022

psalm 119:105

2022 was a year of growth. I started the year with the One Word of Faith.

I wanted to depend on the journey of faith that I was on. God has been at work during the most challenging times in my life. I knew what He could do, and He would not forsake me. So as I relied on my faith throughout the year, I began to grow.

When I look back on the year, I am genuinely amazed by my growth, and I am in awe of my accomplishments. But, without a doubt, He played a hand in all of it.

New learnings and discoveries.

This growth has led to discoveries, new learning, and new opportunities.

I think about how much I have grown and all I have learned. It has been a year of discovery, and God has done much work in my life.

I know that I could not have done it without walking by faith. I am very grateful for all God has done and continues to do in my life.

God’s work in my life

So much has happened in my writing.

I built a writing routine and hired a writing coach.

She helped me develop my practice and create consistency in my writing. It is true when they say to seek out those ahead in the journey and allow yourself to learn from them. Hiring a writing coach was one of the best investments of 2022.

I signed a book contract with a publisher for my first childrenś book, and on December 20, it was published live on Amazon.

This was a promise to my dad, and I am so grateful that my dream came true.

I am proud of its development.

I wrote two guest blog posts

This caused me to step out of my comfort zone by sharing my writing.

My blog series with the Teach Better Team

I wanted to share the joy of teaching, and since the pandemic, my teaching perspective has focused on the little blessings in front of us every day. There are many, starting with the young souls I am teaching. I learn so much from them daily.

Share my writing

It has always been so private, and I knew I needed to be vulnerable to grow. This was risky for me, but it has made a difference.

Virtual She Speaks conference

From it, I was inspired to build my Instagram platform and become more consistent in my posts.

These moments this past year have tested my faith and allowed me to grow into a person I never thought I would be.

Growth builds Strength

Growth happens when you take risks and step out of your comfort zone. With that growth comes Strength. It builds a Bridge of Strength that turns your doubt and fear into confidence and satisfaction.

You open yourself up to new opportunities to become who you are meant to be when you trust and allow yourself to grow.

It is confident that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. -Philippians 1:6

As I have encountered so much disappointment and failure in the past few years, I decided to rely on my faith and belief that God has a plan for my life. When I began to do that, I started to see things change. They became transparent and evident when I began to trust and face my fears. God was doing good work in me.

My friend,

rely on your trust in God and know that He is doing great work in you.

He is working even when it is silent. He is working even when you feel like nothing is changing.

I know it is hard to wait and trust the unknown, but He works for your good.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory now and forever. -2 Peter 3:18

When you lean into God, you begin to trust and grow. Praying incessantly in good times and bad develops trust and faith that builds your character. Your patience leads to growth in yourself, and when you take the time to reflect, you will see how far you have come. The more you draw closer to your understanding of the Lord, the more you will discover about yourself.

He does not turn away from you.

Instead, he lights your path when you are unsure of your abilities.

The light guides you when the route is unknown.

It leads you to places you never thought possible and puts people in your life who help and teach you along the way.

When you trust in Him, He will be by your side.

Through the hardships,

I saw You.

Through the struggles,

I trusted You.

Through grief,

I depended on You.

Through the victories,

I praised You.

Through the blessings,

I thanked You.

Through it all,

You pushed me to grow gracefully.

Through 2022,

my trust in You grew and

I am amazed at what I discovered.

As I reflect on this final day of 2022, I can only be grateful for God’s work in my life. My belief and trust in His plan helped me grow immensely.

So, my friend, I close with this thought.

Go into 2023 trusting that there is a plan for your life,

and if you believe and walk by faith,

it will be revealed to you

in His time.

But enjoy the journey of growth as you wait.
