You are Enough!
I have always been quiet and felt like I was never enough. As a child, I would sit in a classroom, hoping to blend in with the other kids and hide from the world. Moreover, the anxiety felt if the teacher called on me was so paralyzing.Â
If I hid behind the person in front of me, would they notice me?
Would they call on someone else if I didn’t answer the question?
If I whispered the answer, would they hear me?
Behind the quiet eyes, would they truly see me?Â
Could I be myself in this “loud world”?
Could I be myself without the pressure of being asked to be something I was not?
Throughout my life, my quietness has made me question who I am. In addition, it has made me feel like I am not worthy and I am less of a person than the extrovert who wins over the hearts of others at the first encounter.Â
Do you feel alone like that in your world? Afraid to be yourself because you think others will not accept you? Scared that who you are is not enough? Frightened that someone else will outshine you?
That is a lie actually playing out in your head and making you believe that you are less than what you were made to be. Sometimes it is much easier to listen to the lies than to accept the truth. The truth is that He created you for so much more.Â
“ See, I have engraved you on the palm of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”- Isaiah 49:16
There are no accidents and no coincidences. God made you exactly how you should be. He created you to bring light to this world and share your goodness. No one is the same, and the world needs all types of people. Do not let comparison and fear diminish why God created you.Â
You are enough.Â
You do matter.Â
You are special.Â
You are important.Â
You are who you are.
There is no one else quite like you.
You are unique in your ways.Â
“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” – Psalm 138:8
He created a plan and a purpose for you from the start. Trust and believe in His plan for your life. Pray about it and ask Him to lead you toward His purpose for your life.
You are perfectly made.Â
He did not make a mistake.Â
He knew what He was doing.Â
So, believe that is true.Â
Trust in His Word.Â
You are unique in His eyes.Â
What if you began to believe that? What magnificence would the world receive from you? Think about that.
My friend, take the time to discover your worth. Take risks and make mistakes. Be brave, and do not be afraid to share who you are. Walk boldly into this world and be the person you are made to be. After all, your life here on Earth is so short- don’t waste it. The world needs YOU!Â
